MACE

Who would ever hate Briyani in India? Biryani is the most loved recipe and food almost everywhere around the world. The richness of the flavor and the wholesomeness of the dish make Biryani very popular. There is no particular time or day when one cannot enjoy this hearty meal. Mace is widely used to induce its strong flavor in the Briyani recipe. Many spice lovers in India are enamored and fascinated with lip-burning, tear-inducing spicy curries to enhance their taste buds. And that’s where mace shows its magic.

Mace and nutmeg are related and come from the same family. The nutmeg tree is the only plant that provides us with two different spices. As the name implies, nutmegs are the seeds of the tree, whereas mace is the protective coating that surrounds the seeds. In comparison to nutmeg, Dried mace’s whole spice flavor and aroma are sharper and less sweet. It also carries subtle notes of black pepper, pine, and a citrusy taste reminiscent of coriander.

VLC Spices is one of the leading Mace spice manufacturers in India offering the best quality mace. We provide semi-translucent, net-like, orange/red color, dried and sifted arils of the ripe fruit Mace that has undergone fumigation and sterilization and hasn’t been modified genetically. We are the Mace spice manufacturers and suppliers catering to all your requirements along with the packaging and labeling solutions as desired.

Get in touch with us for the best quality mace that is perfect for use.

How to use Mace?
Mace can be used like bay leaves in long-cooking recipes, as it slowly releases its flavor as it cooks. Using a piece of mace in a pot of steaming basmati rice, using it as a seasoning for simmering chicken stock, or putting it in a jar of homemade pickles is an excellent and delicious idea.

Storage
Dried mace whole spice is advised to be bought fresh and used within 12 months from the manufacturing date, in original unopened packaging under specified storage conditions. It is highly recommended to store them in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
